The sandy bottom goes way out in the shallow water--great for kids, playing and launching kayaks. The cottage looks west to the amazing sunsets. Mr./Ms. Blue Heron visits the beach regularly and the ospreys dive for breakfast for their babies. Rock Hall, MD is a quaint fishing village on the upper Eastern Shore in Kent County. Rock Hall is on Southern Living's 2016 list of Best Small Town's of the South. Kent County is the least populated county in MD, so it is a true get-away. Only one blinking traffic light in Rock Hall. There are also many marinas (sailing and motor boats), about 8 at last count. A surprisingly wide choice of restaurants and entertainment (including live entertainment at the Mainstay & local restaurants) is available.
