Ixia is on the other side of the island at least 1hr or more drive by car. .Public transport would mean going into Rhodes Town then down to Lardos approx. 3hrs..

Depending what month you are there... July & Aug best earlier as the weather gets extremely hot being a small bay, sheltered much more than others. I think 10 ish would be fine..
