I would not recommend this for hiking at that time of year as there could be huge snow and the trail cold be dangerous. IT also depends on how far you would hike. So if the road up to the lake is open and you just hike around the lake that could be doable but I would not recommend hiking into the wilderness and into the mountains unless you are a very experienced hiker and know the area
Did you go to Crater Lake. How far was it? how long a hike?

Yes we did Crater Lake. Located at the end of the road on the top in the valley. By snow cat it took about 20 mins. Hiking I would guess about 1 1/2 hours.
