Would the half day Royal Gorge whitewater trip be appropriate for first time rafters. We have never been rafting on one of these rivers but it looks like a lot of fun. I myself do not really work out much so I am not what they would call super fit but I like adventure. How fit do you have to be for the Royal Gorge half day trip? I'm afraid the Bighorn Sheep Canyon may be a bit too calm for my 18 year old son.

The Royal Gorge is the more adventurous section of the river with up to Class IV rapids (depending on water levels).
