Hope is a census-designated place in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is 70 miles south from Anchorage. As of the 2010 census the population was 192, up from 137 in 2000. The Hope Historic District, which includes the surviving elements of the former mining town, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
