Do the boat ride and book early. We had it booked and it was sold out. We saw so many birds, 3 manatees and so many alligators and their babies! Wonderful nature tour. One of my teen sons jumped off… Full review by malaykah

We took the 45 minute, boat ride on the Wakulla river. The tour takes visitors on a 2 mile loop downstream and back. The ranger who led our tour was very good - interesting, knowledgeable and hum… Full review by Poodletoes

Are the boats running now?
A:
Yes, they are running. You need to make a reservation in advance or you take a chance of not getting to go. They are well worth it and interesting info told by a park ranger.

A:
Yes. $8. The earliest tour of the day has the most wildlife sightings, including manatees. Get there before the tourbooth opens and wait in line to secure a seat

Could you see any damage from the hurricane in the area?
A:
I have not been since. But, they re-opened very shortly following. And, the were fully booked for Thanksgiving all-day buffet. I tried forvreservations! It must be fine.

Is it likely to see a manatee in early October here?
A:
Yes I always see manatees there in the fall both taking the boat ride at the park and renting kayaks down river by the bridge and paddling up river to the fence that blocks the way to the park
