STAND-UP / POSITIONAL OPEN MRI We can position the patient for the full range of positions. The full length of the spine can be imaged in the normal weight-bearing posture, even with the patient touching their toes for full flexion images of the lumbar spine. Unusual patient positions that are impossible on conventional “lie-down” MRI scanners are routine on Washington Open MRI’s new Stand-Up Open MRI. We have recently added digital motion x-ray scans. The combination of these two modalities has proven invaluable to PROPERLY image and DOCUMENT WHIPLASH which is the most common injury in car crashes, slip/falls and concussion injuries. With documented PROOF of injury the patient may now receive proper care and appropriate settlements.
