Jennette's Pier is a fun and interesting place to visit. It is now owned by the N.C. Aquarium Society, so they have a couple of fish tanks inside. You pay $2 per person and can walk on the long pie… Full review by LandSMom

No. There are sinks and counters to clean your own fish with picture instructions of how to clean them.

Do you need a special net or is the distance from the pier to the water short enough for a 4-6 foot long net to bring in fish.

Just a regular net. It is not close, but you just reel up the fish. I guess you could net it as it gets close. It is really long way from the water.
