Fun for adults and kids alike, the Austin Aquarium is an educational and memorable outing for the whole family. Feel like you dove beneath the depths of the ocean and discover the brightly hued creatures that live below as you gaze into the giant tanks, feel the silky smooth skin of a stingray, and learn about the resident giant Pacific octopus. Daily talks, tours, special sleepovers for children, and birthday parties let guests get up-close and personal with the many inhabitants at the aquarium.

As an adult, I did not like this place. First of all, this is not an Aquarium. This place seems like a miniature version of an aquarium. $100 for a family of 3 and barely anything to look at. The pla…Full review by Ramkumar S

This is in a strip mall more like a glorified pet store. Not at all the aquarium experience we were expecting for a family experience with teenagers. Although not a horrible experience we did have f…Full review by jennifer g

I highly doubt it. It is more of a petting zoo with animal enclosures that are open for you to touch. For example there’s iguana, ducks, and birds potentially on the ground exploring. Low barrier walls separate you from rabbits and chickens. With these animals in an open environment, I doubt they allow animals other professionally trained service animals. Call to verify.

Yes there is chips and soda available

I don't remember the exact price schedule, but I do remember that it is one of the most reasonable things to do in Austin. Unlike some other aquariums I have visited, even the gift shop(s) have reasonable prices -- about half the price on all merchandise. I bought the most darling little pair of shark-shaped baby booties (great face, and wiggly teeth) for less than $10. And I am not one for souvenir-shopping. The entire place is geared to children having a great hands-on experience and really enjoying themselves while their adult counterparts also find interesting and fun things to do. Whatever the fee, it is nominal (i.e., fairly cheap).
