An oasis in the middle of Judaean desert. Looking to cool down after touring around the hot desert this is the place to visit with different waterfalls you can swim and bathe.Full review by jarveyc

Hi! We would love to see the Ein Gedi park, walk in the beautiful surroundings, and then go to the Dead sea in the same area. We would like to leave from Beer sheva by bus, and go back before it is dark. This gives us the time between 8.34 am and 15.30, would that be enough? Ein Gedi is the most timportant part for us, but we dont want to miss the Dead sea when we are there. And should we bring our own lunch/picknick for the park?

Yes you can do a quick tour and hike in as little as 45 or a long 6 hours.

We drove there by rental car. No guide is necessary. It is a simple nature park with a concrete walkway to the first water falls. Loads of bus tourists are there. There is a café and …

We drove there by rental car. No guide is necessary. It is a simple nature park with a concrete walkway to the first water falls. Loads of bus tourists are there. There is a café and picnic tables under cover.

Can we do this same tour from Jerusalem and not Tel Aviv?

We drove from Jerusalem. This area is near the Dead Sea and is usually visited before or after visiting the Dead Sea. Worth the stop.
