We were the only people who booked tours this morning. I thanked the guides for not canceling the tours. The McMath Pierce Solar Telescope was decommissioned in 2018 after a new and much improved one… Full review by William M
There is a required time to arrive for the night program but if we are late ( arriving at Phoenix Airport 2 pm in late December) will they let us in? I’m awaiting response from KPNO

I believe you can get in up to before the actual sunset time but after that you aren’t allowed to drive up the mountain. They are super fussy about stray light spoiling their data gathering. …
