About 8 hours for us. The time at ruins I didn't keep great track of, but I want to say 1.5-2 hours. Which I felt was the right amount of time to see everything. We climbed 1 of 3 ruins, and watched some monkeys for a while. The boat ride is about 45 min each way and I kind of consider that part of the tour. I would guess an 8am pickup for you guys - and they had us back at the port at 4pm for our water taxi departing at 4:30pm. The drive out there is definitely long, I recommend bringing some sort of entertainment, then they lock it in the van.
The price is 75us each person,Best price in Belize, and they grantee to get you back on time of your ship or they will pick you up at the hotel or water taxi,

We heard the same answer, that sometimes it gets busy when cruise ships dock. We actually came via cruise ship. So, we dont have a different perspective. However, even though there were two ships that docked that day and Lamani seemed a popular destination to me it didnt feel over crowded. I think your best bet wojld be to contact the tour company to find the best time to go. We had a few questions we asked them through email and they were very prompt in response and happy to help. This is my best advice to you. Good luck.
