This is a challenging hike and I've done it many times, but today I got an $82 parking ticket. There is very limited parking at the Stanford Ave trail head, even at 7 a.m., and everyone parks on Vine… Full review by Bernadette L

Further research shows: Ohlone College, Fremont Campus: 43600 Mission Boulevard, Fremont Meet by the trailhead by the parking structure/tennis courts The word on starting the hike at Ohlone College is that it is not as steep, not as exposed, easier to park. You can find all the info needed for meeting at Ohlone College, Fremont Campus on the EBParks website; search for Ohlone College Parking. $4 parking fee. Park in the parking structure and meet at the trailhead on Pine Street near the tennis courts (the college's current map does not show tennis courts, so it's possible they have been bulldozed.)
