Anthony Mackie, who stars in Marvel's "Captain America," said in a recent interview that his race has not hindered him from getting roles in Hollywood.

Four years after the release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier — which saw Anthony Mackie ‘s Sam Wilson struggling with the title bestowed on him by Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers — the star says Marvel’s latest offering finds the character as “full-fledged Captain America .”

His first time on the big screen occurred in “8 Mile,” which stars Eminem as Detroit rapper Jimmy Smith Jr., aka B-Rabbit, in his attempt to launch a hip-hop career. The movie includes autobiographical elements from Eminem’s real life.
