Tens of thousands in the dark as winter storm knocks out power in Central Virginia
RICHMOND, Va. — More than 76,000 Dominion Energy customers were left without power Wednesday as of 2:45 p.m. after a winter storm dumped snow and ice on Central Virginia Tuesday. Click here to see updated Dominion outage numbers. The majority of Dominion outages were reported in Chesterfield and Henrico counties.
Thousands of Virginia residents without power
As of 11 a.m., according to Dominion Energy's power outage map, over 19,000 customers are without power. Pepco's outage map shows 30 customers are without power in D.C. and Maryland. There is no word at this time on when power may be restored.
