Kaiser Permanente officially broke ground Wednesday on its $1 billion-plus Railyards Medical Center, an 18-acre medical campus set to transform Sacramento’s health care landscape and downtown. The facility, scheduled to open in 2029, is expected to create thousands of jobs, and serve as a key anchor for downtown redevelopment.
