Sony on Sunday confirmed that network services were restored following the widespread disruption. However, it did not reveal the cause of the outage.

Users on social media had complained that they could not access their games after the unexplained outage began on Friday night.

PlayStation Network was hit with an outage and remained offline for many users through most of Saturday leaving them frustrated.
