With 90% of the U.S. population living within 10 miles of a Walmart store, recalls of products they sell can have widespread effects. Labeling mistakes, safety concerns and contamination can all cause food recalls. Prescriptions and other products can also be recalled.

Tri-Union Seafoods canned tuna sold at Costco, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, and other stores have been recalled for botulism risk. Brands include Genova and H-E-B.

The voluntary recall over botulism fears covers cans sold at Safeway, Harris Teeter, Costco and other major grocery stores in dozens of states.
