A bus driver is back behind the wheel after he was hit by a piece of metal that smashed through his windshield.

Stewart O’Leary was driving a bus full of high school basketball players when a metal piece flew through the windshield and struck him, a Washington school district said. “It was instantaneous, it was violent,” O’Leary told KOMO News. “ I could see the slice in the windshield.”

A Staten Island school bus driver and four children were rushed to the hospital Friday morning after their bus collided with a box truck driven by a man having a medical episode, police said.
