South San Francisco police on Wednesday seized over 5,000 pounds of “dangerous” fireworks – valued at over $300,000 – from a storage unit, the department said.

South San Francisco Police Department officers recovered a “large amount of dangerous fireworks” Wednesday morning, the law enforcement agency announced in a press release. Around 10 a.m., police were dispatched to a storage facility on Oyster Point Boulevard where the fireworks were stored.
