Warner Bros. Discovery has cancelled its long-awaited Wonder Woman video game, as well as shut down three game development studios. Another day, another round of layoffs in the video games industry. As first reported by Bloomberg,

WB is also shuttering the studio behind it, Monolith, the team behind the Lord of the Rings duology Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor.

We’ll never get to play Shadow of Mordor dev Monolith’s take on Wonder Woman, because the game has been cancelled and the studio shutdown. But there’s been an outpouring of enthusiasm aimed at the project in the aftermath of the aforementioned news.
