Check out these black historical sites throughout the Upstate for Black History Month. The Old Hunter's Store, located at 125 East Queen Street in Pendleton, was constructed around 1850 and is another significant site in Anderson County's African American history, according to the Pendleton Foundation for Black History and Culture.

Visitors are invited to tour one of Mecklenburg County's oldest Black schoolhouses, partake in the African American Heritage Festival, and enjoy other exhibits.
