It’s happening. Alabama Shakes -- the indie rock band known for songs like “Hold On” and “Always Alright” -- have announced their first tour in eight years. The Shakes tour kicks off July 16 in Chicago. On July 25, the Athens-founded band is scheduled to play a home state show at Birmingham’s currently under construction Coca-Cola Amphitheater.

After announcing a handful of festival appearances, Alabama Shakes have solidified their first tour since 2017. The Brittany Howard-led group will return to the road beginning July 16 in Chicago and has dates on the books through Sept.

The Brittany Howard-led trio are coming to the Miller High Life Theatre, and it sounds like they'll have some new music to share.
