The cause of death for lauded and experimental filmmaker David Lynch has been revealed.

The beloved filmmaker and "Twin Peaks" creator died last month, prompting tributes from fans, past collaborators and even ex-lovers.

David Lynch died on Jan. 15, 2025 from complications of emphysema, a chronic lung disease, at the age of 78.
