Mate Rimac Shows Off Bugatti Tourbillon Development
The Bugatti Tourbillon is the first new hypercar from Rimac’s ownership of the French automaker. The model’s name refers to a mechanically complex watch movement, and the vehicle is similarly a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

Rimac's video appears to show a camouflaged Tourbillon prototype at a race track or proving grounds. In the clip, the Bugatti can be heard revving up toward the top of its range before accelerating away in a quick launch. Needless to say, the V-16 engine sounds absolutely ferocious.
Here’s What the Bugatti Tourbillon’s V-16 Sounds Like
While the Chiron was powered by a 8.0-liter W-16 engine, the Tourbillon’s is an 8.3-liter V-16. That engine makes the bulk of the Tourbillon’s power, with an additional 800 horsepower provided by three electric motors, two in the front and one in the rear.
