Plans for a waterfront amphitheater in Riverhead, boardwalk additions in Long Beach, and a renovated community center in Mineola will all get a boost, according to officials.

Long Beach was just awarded a whopping $1.45 million from New York State to enhance amenities along its 2.25-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean boardwalk, Governor Kathy Hochul announced on Tuesday.
