The DC Studios film will no longer be a reunion between the trio of Craig, Guadagnino, and screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes, according to multiple reports.

Released in 2024, Queer featured Craig as William Lee, a washed up and boozed out expat living in Mexico City in the 1950s. There, he met a young man played by Drew Starkey, and together they went on an ayahuasca-fueled trip through South America.

Daniel Craig isn’t enlisting into the DC Universe after all. The actor has dropped out of consideration for the title role in “Sgt. Rock,” the DC Comics adaptation from Craig’s “Queer” director Luca Guadagnino and screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes.
