The Republican attorney general in Texas wants the NCAA to take its transgender policy a step further and require gender testing for athletes who compete in women’s sports.

A lawsuit filed by the state comes as more women athletes are being scrutinized for their height, athletic ability and physical characteristics as evidence that they are transgender.
