The second in a parade of powerful winter storms this week is bringing a swath of high-impact winter weather from the Plains and Midwest to the Great Lakes and Northeast on Wednesday.

Eventually as the storm gets closer, the winter storm watch either turns to a winter storm warning or a winter weather advisory.
