Feb. 13 Attorneys general from New Mexico, Arizona, Michigan and 11 other states sued Musk, DOGE and President Donald Trump alleging Musk’s “virtually unchecked authority” is unconstitutional and “the sweeping authority now vested in a single unelected and unconfirmed individual is antithetical to the nation’s entire constitutional structure.”

The social media site agreed to pay in the range of $10 million to settle with the president, who had sued over the suspension of his account in 2021.

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell sued President Trump and Elon Musk alongside 12 other states, alleging they had violated the Constitution for creating the Department of Government Efficiency without congressional approval.
