The Utah Hockey Club really missed Dylan Guenther’s play when he was out nearly a month with a lower-body injury. Besides Clayton Keller, Guenther is one of Utah’s most important forwards, especially when it comes to scoring goals.

Connor Ingram came out of the net to defend against Columbus’ rush and rocketed the puck off the boards and up the ice. Guenther gathered it at the offensive blueline, got an initial shot off which was stopped and then tapped in his own rebound for the final 3-2 scoreline. Ingram got an assist on the play and made 20 saves on the night.

Utah Hockey Club forward Nick Schmaltz struggled mightily to produce during the first few months of the season. However, that changed in the month of January after he found his scoring touch again and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
