Alaska Airlines is ending service at Dallas Love Field airport, the airline confirmed Tuesday. Alaska Airlines, which is headquartered near Seattle, Washington, operates a roundtrip flight between Love Field and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport five times weekly.

After operating at Dallas Love Field for a few years, Alaska Airlines decided to end service at the public airport this spring. Alaska, which first came to Love Field in 2017, currently operates a roundtrip between Dallas and Seattle five times a week.

Alaska Airlines will stop flying out of Dallas Love Field in May, the carrier announced on Tuesday, giving up a presence it has fought bitterly to preserve for years.

Alaska Airlines will start flying in and out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport only, consolidating their flights in North Texas.
