Along the way, Smart moved away from tiny gas cars like the ForTwo to entirely electric power in the last few years, launching the Smart #2, Smart #3, and the four-door SUV Smart #5 EVs to help do it.

Along with Audi's release of the quattro system, it also unveiled the Audi Quattro to go along with it, and to act as a homologation vehicle to meet WRC standards for competition.
