The Lake County Council agreed to reallocate $600,000 to hire 12 contracted emergency dispatchers to try to alleviate the workload at the short-staffed 911 center.
"Quite frankly, this is a necessity to ensure the room is staffed properly," said Lake County E-911 Director Mark Swiderski.
