The Department of Government Efficiency is reportedly seeking access to sensitive payment systems in the Treasury Department.

To prevent identity theft, do not give out optional or irrelevant personal information, such as your phone number or email, in stores, online or over the phone, unless you initiated the call.

The exposed database was connected to the internet without a password, exposing GPS coordinates, names, phone numbers, and postal addresses.
