The City of Ames is trying to find a firm to build a new pedestrian bridge over Ioway Creek near Jack Trice Stadium.

PennDOT wanted to talk about what should happen after the Skinners Falls Bridge comes down, but most of the public at the meeting still wants to see it saved.

Live-ins at the Bridge Peer Counseling Center said a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed guaranteeing long-term funding and a location.

Defenders of the Skinners Falls/Milanville bridge hope to see it restored, but that isn't feasible, according to PennDOT.
