The remains of University of Mississippi student Jimmie "Jay" Lee were confirmed to have been found in Carroll County, Mississippi, nearly three years after his disappearance.

Oxford police confirm the remains found in Carroll County over the weekend are those of missing Ole Miss student Jay Lee.

The Oxford Police Department and the Carroll County Sheriff's Office confirmed on Wednesday that human remains found last week are those of Ole Miss student Jimmie "Jay" Lee. The remains were discovered Saturday, Feb. 1, by deer hunters.
