Manchester United are fearing the worst over defender Lisandro Martinez. The 27-year-old was stretchered off in tears during United's home defeat by Crystal Palace on Sunday after appearing to jar his knee as he tried to turn near the end of the game.

Manchester United have secured the signing of Patrick Dorgu from Serie A side Lecce for a fee of £25.2million ($31.2m; €30m) plus £4.2m in add-ons. Dorgu is United’s second signing of the January window after teenage centre-back Ayden Heaven’s arrival from Arsenal was confirmed on Saturday.
