The world of 9-1-1 is officially expanding. The spinoff that has, until now, just been in development, has been given a straight-to-series order — and we now know where it will take place.

The long-in-the-works 9-1-1 spinoff at ABC has received a straight-to-series order from the network and has settled on a setting, Nashville, TN.

“9-1-1” was created by Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear and premiered on Fox in 2018 before moving to ABC for its seventh season in 2024. Currently on its eighth season, the series is set in Los Angeles and stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi and Gavin McHugh.

"9-1-1" won’t be saying "Aloha" to Hawaii but instead "Howdy" to Tennessee as ABC branches out the Ryan Murphy Television-produced franchise.

Nashville" is set to air this fall. While details are still being finalized, it seems "highly likely" the show will be filmed in Nashville.
