The fire began in a hay field east of Angwin-Parrett Field, the local airport, and was reported at 11:36 a.m., according to Jason Clay, spokesperson for Cal Fire’s St. Helena station.

About 20 people gathered Thursday night for the first in a series of three public workshops to discuss the possible sale of Parrett Field in Angwin, the airport owned by Pacific Union College.
