Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 2 is just around the corner, and Activision highlighted everything planned for it in a new blog post. Black Ops 6 Season 2 goes live on Jan. 28, 2025, and introduces three new multiplayer maps, two permanent game modes, and a set of limited-time Valentine's Day modes.

Black Ops 6 and Warzone both receive new patch updates for February 2025, with new bug fixes now available for both titles.

In a post, we're informed that the game will have three more round-based maps, and that there will be an upcoming season that doesn't bring a new Zombies map at all. BOPS 6 will conclude its content cycle with a total of seven Zombies maps, but the exciting news is that these maps could be carried forward to the 2025 Call of Duty game.

Xbox players (Xbox One, Series X|S) can play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 for free from Thursday, February 6th (10am Pacific) to Monday, February 10th (10am Pacific). You do not need an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Therefore, it is completely free for anyone this weekend.

Today's update covers both Call of Duty Warzone and Call of Duty Black Ops 6, arguably the franchise's best title since 2019's Modern Warfare reboot (though that's not saying much).
