Recently, an alarming trend has emerged on Michigan's highways: non-emergency vehicles using emergency vehicle turning lanes to bypass traffic.

Drivers should use their hazard lights in accordance with state law, said Sgt. Richard Standifer with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
