The Jets sent a package of draft picks to the Packers in April 2023 to acquire Rodgers. The hope was that the four-time MVP and future Hall of Famer could provide the franchise with a culture change and elevate the team out of its losing ways.

But the Jets aren't exactly in a good quarterback position, and as things stand, Tyrod Taylor and Jordan Travis are the only ones currently on the roster. As such, ESPN's Rich Cimini stated that the Jets now have a gaping hole at the quarterback position due to their decision to move on from Rodgers.

“I hope that’s the only thing that’s déjà vu,” Rodgers answered.
