A signed custom Pistons jersey, thousands in cash, laptops and more were stolen from a Detroit business that employs veterans and upcycles leather from automobiles.

Singing policeman Samidoh Muchoki shared a rare photo of himself in full combat uniform and an assault riffle. He posed next to an armoured personnel carrier.

"Things have changed, but the uniform hasn't," said retired Lt. James Beck, a docent at the Rhode Island State Police Museum.
