Meta’s new ‘LlamaCon’ event will focus on AI
Meta is holding a new “LlamaCon” conference where it will share updates on “open source AI developments” to help developers create apps and products, the company said on Tuesday. LlamaCon will take place on April 29th, 2025 — months ahead of its Meta Connect conference, which it just announced will run from September 17th to the 18th.

Meta also revealed that its Meta Connect event, geared towards virtual and mixed reality developers and content creators, is returning in the fall with “the latest and greatest in Meta Horizon updates.” The conference will September 17-18, 2025, and promises to “peel back the curtain on tomorrow’s tech.”
