There's plenty of uncertainty surrounding the future of the Chiefs, most notably to do with superstar tight end Travis Kelce. There's been plenty of speculation that Kelce could opt for retirement after this season, and Mahomes was asked about the future of his longtime teammate after the game.

If Kelce were to retire following the Super Bowl, he would certainly go down as one of the best tight ends the NFL has ever seen. He has won three rings and has been named to ten straight Pro Bowls and seven All-Pro teams. He also holds the NFL playoffs record for most postseason catches.

Kelce has won three Super Bowl rings in his career: Super Bowl LIV, LVII and LVIII. This is his fifth Super Bowl appearance, all as a member of the Chiefs and all since 2019, as he’s seeking his fourth championship ring.
