An iconic doughnut shop in San Francisco opened the doors to its new location Friday: Bob’s Donuts didn’t move far from its original spot but is sporting a more modern look and feel.

A 22-story housing development that could bring more than 300 new homes — about a third of them affordable — to the Lower Nob Hill neighborhood in San Francisco’s northeast might now be just months away from breaking ground, after it received a key assist from the Board of Supervisors earlier this week.

Longtime Hob Nob owner Tania Warchol said that after more than 30 years, it’s time to move on and spend more time with her grandchildren.
