The University of Kentucky's Geological Survey is monitoring an uptick in seismic activity in Kentucky and surrounding states within the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

A 3.1 magnitude earthquake that struck southeastern Ohio Monday was felt in eastern Kentucky, according to the United States Geological Survey.
