SEATTLE — The George Washington Memorial Bridge in Seattle, also known as the Aurora Bridge, is closed in both directions after a "suspected transformer fire." The Seattle Police Department (SPD) posted about the bridge closure at 5:52 a.m. Tuesday. Police ask any drivers that utilize the bridge for their morning commute to find an alternate route.
