A Tampa-area native, Pam Bondi became the second Floridian and the third woman to hold the office of U.S. attorney general.

Pam Bondi was sworn in as attorney general on Wednesday with President Donald Trump looking on the Oval Office on Wednesday.

The former Florida attorney general is expected to oversee a radical reshaping of the Justice Department that has already been rattled by the firings of career employees seen as disloyal to the Republican President.
